25. November 2009, ProjectZero announced its ZEROcarbon Roadmap – the masterplan for a ZEROcarbon Sonderborg.
The plan was a result of comprehensive studies of the areas energy consumption within buildings, manufacturing, transportation and farming, including studies of the areas own renewable energy potentials within biomass, wind, solar, geothermal. Energy balances has been established and compiled to achieve the best possible plan to achieve ZEROcarbon based on societal, company and private economy.
The masterplan was presented to more than 100 local key stakeholders and will early 2010 be presented as an exhibition to citizens etc.
