Current Projects

During the autumn of 2008, the master plan for ProjectZero is being drawn up.

There are 13 different topics, and a number of projects are being suggested for each topic. At ProjectZero, we are looking forward to working on these projects!

A number of existing projects will be mentioned below:

- Drawing up strategies for the ProjectZero master plan
- Establishing a CO2 baseline for Sønderborg – mapping of the different CO2 sources divided into segments
- Reviewing the public transport sector
- Developing a sustainable master plan for the Gehry Harbour Project
- Possibilities for geothermal heating
- Developing plans for future cooperation with the local agricultural sector - LandboSyd
- Bringing energy into focus in local day care institutions. From August 2008, a local energy consultant has been employed in order to establish cooperation in this field
- Increasing local competencies in the field of energy efficient housing by developing special training schedules, cooperation with EUC SYD college
- Establishing cooperation with the secondary education sector – science, innovation and sustainability
- Energy audits for shops and businesses
- Commenting on district action plans
- Establishing a University of Southern Denmark participation in ProjectZero’s visions
- Dialogue with the local building and construction sector, including the cooperative housing societies
- Drawing up a local energy action plan
- Citizen participation – a very important issue!
- Sustainable city planning
- Bright Green Waterfront – drawing up a sustainable master plan for the Gehry Harbour project
- Energy savings in both public and private business sector
- Sustainable agriculture
- Sustainable transport, both public and private
- Exploiting and saving water
- Sustainable waste management, including possibilities for waste reduction
- Numerous building projects aiming to reach low energy class 1 as a minimum (year 2015),both building and rebuilding, for example the following:

Fryndesholmhallen (leisure and sports hall)

Dybbøl Skole (public school)
etc.
