ProjectZero has origins in the regional study group Futura Syd, which in autumn 2006 focussed on intelligent energy management and related business opportunities for Sønderborg – Bright Green Business. A large number of local companies have acquired considerable technological expertise and strong positions in intelligent energy management.
In spring 2007, the think tank on business development became more directly involved with the increasing focus on global climate problems and the need for national CO2 reduction and other initiatives. The ProjectZero vision of energy-focused development in Greater Sønderborg was born.
The Futura Syd study group behind the formulation of the ProjectZero vision consists of journalist Hanne Risgaard and two local businessmen, Bjarne Rasmussen and Asger Gramkow.
