Dong Energy and Sønderborg Fjernvarme have combined to investigate opportunities for extracting geothermal energy from the subsoil in Sønderborg. Geothermal heating will make a considerable contribution to the vision of becoming the first CO2-neutral region in Europe.
Besides investments in the geothermal facility, Dong Energy contributes experience and dialogue via its representation on the ProjectZero Fund board of directors.
